Paddleboarding

This week in Room One we went to camp in Westport.

My favourite part of camp, was paddle boarding. I really enjoyed how relaxed and calm the water was. It was really interesting seeing the fish and whitebait swimming underneath the board.

Floating down the river felt weird at first but then I got used to it after a while. Jack Rowe, Isaac and I were in the front most of the time, which was surprisingly fun because we were racing each other.

Going under the Buller Bridge was kind of scary, hearing the echoes of the cars and of the water crashing against the poles.

At the end of the river when we finished Paddle boarding we all went for a refreshing swim which we all really enjoyed.

I really liked the way that you have described your feelings and how calm the water was. I liked it how you have been telling me how it was your first time paddling but that you got really used to it. Thank you for sharing your peace of writing to me.
